Get ready for the latest Google Pixel 8 series, set to be unveiled on October 4th! Excitement is building as we’ve been treated to a sneak peek into what’s coming. In a recent report, we’ve got the scoop on the possible prices and color options for the upcoming Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro in Europe.
Now, brace yourselves, because it seems like there might be a noticeable price bump for these new Google flagships in Europe. According to sources and the ever-reliable tipster Paras Guglani, the Pixel 8 with 128GB storage is expected to ring in at around €874.25 (that’s roughly $942), and that includes a 23% Value-added Tax (VAT). If we strip away the taxes, it would be approximately €710.77, which translates to about $765. That’s a significant increase compared to the base Pixel 7, which started at €650 last year.
But wait, there’s more! If you’re eyeing the 256GB storage variant of the Pixel 8, it’s rumored to be priced at €949.30 with 23% VAT, which is roughly $1,023. Now, let’s switch gears to the Pixel 8 Pro, which is rumored to come with an even heftier price tag. The 128GB version might set you back around €1,235 (that’s approximately $1,331), while the 256GB model could cost €1,309 (about $1,411). And if you’re going all-in with the 512GB model, be prepared to shell out around €1,461, or roughly $1,575. These prices also include the 23% VAT. This is quite a departure from the starting price of €900 for the Pixel 7 Pro last year.
Do you know that, according to a recent newsletter by tech expert Mark Gurman, Apple almost shocked us this year with a massive 14-inch iPad? Apple had apparently been mulling over the notion of a supersized iPad since 2021, but it appears that this project is no longer a top priority:
Now, remember that earlier rumors hinted at a potential $50 to $100 price increase for the Pixel 8 series this year. If these leaked European prices turn out to be accurate, it seems like we’re leaning towards the higher end of that rumored price hike. But, here’s a word of caution: we can’t be entirely sure about the accuracy of this leak, so take it with a grain of salt. These Pixel 8 series prices may not be set in stone just yet.
Moving on to the fun part – colors! The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are expected to come in a range of appealing color options. For the standard Pixel 8, you can choose from Hazel, Obsidian, Rose, and Mint colors. Meanwhile, the Pixel 8 Pro will be available in Bay, Obsidian, Porcelain, and Mint colors. So, not only are these phones getting a price makeover, but they’re also dressing up in some snazzy new shades to catch your eye. Exciting times ahead for Google Pixel enthusiasts!
